Mental Health and Addictions Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO)

January 2023

Recovery Mentorship and Peer Support is a collaboration between people with more experience in recovery and people who are newer to recovery. As a Certified Recovery Mentor (also known as CRM or Recovery Coach), I draw on my valuable lived experience of almost two decades in recovery from substance use disorder, eating disorders, compulsive behaviors, and intergenerational/developmental/relational trauma. I am also trained in the bio-neuro-social aspects of addiction and trauma, various recovery programs, motivational interviewing, family systems, stages of change, relapse prevention, co-occurring disorders and mental health conditions, attachment theory, and ethics. I have undergone a strict background check and completed a minimum of 40 hours of training approved by the Oregon Health Authority, in addition to at least 20 hours of continuing education every two years.
