What to Expect at a Zoom Session
The Zoom room will be open 5 minutes before our start time, in case you want to log in a little early to settle in and transition from the rest of your day.
What you might want to have ready:
-A favorite beverage
-One pillow and blanket (or more!)
-A comfortable place to lie down or sit where you won’t be bothered
-Camera on or off (do whatever helps you feel more restful)
Our time will include:
-Arrival/Somatic check-in
-Optional gentle movement
Optional time to share about your experience of the somatic check-in and gentle movement
-Reading from Rest is Resistance
-Closing guided rest practice
I will then quietly close the Zoom meeting, so you can choose to remain in your rest bubble if you like. 🥱
Donations & Support
These sessions are free and open to everyone. If you’re able, donations of $10–30 per session are warmly appreciated and help me extend this work to more people.
You can donate through my website using the site, Venmo (Stacy-Carleton-1), or CashApp ($StacyCarleton).
I encourage you to support one of my biggest inspirations for this work, Tricia Hersey: Buy her book/Check out her website.
Other Tips
-These sessions meet every Thursday from 5:30-6:30 pm, except for major holidays.
I will always alert you of any other schedule changes as they come up.
-I am now offering an opportunity to share about your experience midway through the session, after our Somatic Check-in and Gentle Movement. This is simply an invitation with absolutely no expectation of participation. You can choose to keep your camera off and stay on mute the entire time. I encourage you to drop performance of being a “good student” and instead, engage in our session exactly the way your body wants for that day and that moment.
I always love hearing from you, and welcome questions and feedback: Connect through my website.
